How It Works

A digital custody chain from arrival to departure

SeaPillar replaces paper-based parcel tracking with a strict 7-state lifecycle where every handoff is recorded and every stakeholder sees the same truth.

Execution Model

Six stages of parcel custody

Each stage enforces compliance and creates an auditable record of custody transfer.

Stage 1

Port call registration

Agencies register the vessel visit with ETA, berth, and expected parcels.

Stage 2

Parcel receiving

Parcels are registered in the system as they arrive. Each gets a tracking reference and enters the custody chain.

Stage 3

Storage and staging

Parcels move through stored and staged states. Bonded parcels require customs stamp confirmation before loading.

Stage 4

Loading and compliance

Parcels are loaded onto the vessel. Bonded goods are blocked until stamp documents are verified and uploaded.

Stage 5

Captain confirmation

The captain reviews loaded parcels via the vessel portal and confirms receipt with a digital sign-off.

Stage 6

GDN and closure

Digital Goods Delivery Notes are auto-generated from the custody chain. Full audit trail available for export.
